The City of Elko Fire Department is proud to announce that we have been awarded funding through the 2026 Nevada Fire Chiefs Association (NFCA) Wildfire Risk Reduction Program! 🔥🌿

Through this program, our focus is on w**d and brush abatement on private property within the City of Elko to help reduce wildfire fuels and improve the safety and resiliency of our community.

We are working closely with Creico Enterprises, LLC on this important project, and we are already impressed with the progress being made on our first project! 👏

Wildfire preparedness is a community effort, and removing excess vegetation and combustible brush can make a significant difference in reducing the potential for fire spread and protecting homes, businesses, and neighborhoods.

We are excited to continue this work throughout the City of Elko and appreciate the support of the NFCA and everyone helping us make our community safer! ❤️‍🔥

One property at a time, we’re reducing wildfire risk in Elko!
