There's 6 BTW 😆
Kiddos are making beautiful flowers grow in our Carlin Mybrary garden today 🥰
In the past, people have loved the library for providing literacy services for children and teens. And we will continue to do that. As we kick off the next 100 years we also want to create a sense of place and ownership for each individual in our community. We want people to see the library as their place. That is why it is called Mybrary. We are here to facilitate access and belonging. And to encourage discovery and opportunity for every member of our community.
Mybrary has the resources and staff to help people with:
✅ Business Growth
✅ Regional and Personal History
✅ Community Connection and Belonging
✅ Technical Literacy

Dec. 29, 1868 - The small town of Elko was founded by the Central Pacific Railroad (now Union Pacific). According to research by Howard Hickson, Director Emeritus of the Northeastern Nevada Museum in Elko, it was a rough place. That year a newcomer remarked in a letter, "There were all sorts of games and vices in progress and only two men were killed the day I arrived."

What is world famous cowboy poetry? It all began as a time and place where western ranchers and cowboys could gather to share poems about their lives working cattle. Three decades later, the gathering encompasses western poets, musicians, artisans, and storytellers, sharing their creativity across the country, telling their stories of hard work, heartbreak, and hilarity, and what it means to make your way in the rangeland West.
