Wednesday we had Phil Templeman, Bobby Phillips and others, speak to us about the tradition of the Claymore Camp Meeting. It started yesterday and goes to the 26th, they invite everyone to come out!

We enjoyed having Adam today and learning all about his business. If hearing is a concern for you or a loved one, be sure to check him out!

I received a very special invitation from Kathy Morgan and the Rotary Club of Elkton, KY to come and speak about hearing health today and a little about what I do at Farley's Place!

I was honored with this privilege to spend time with such an engaged group. We had a chat about how protecting our hearing today can make a lasting difference in our quality of life tomorrow. We also had a discussion on strategies to improve the quality of life for those already struggling with hearing loss.

One of the things I enjoy most about having my own practice is being able to focus on educating our community rather than just focusing on sales.

It's exciting to me that I can manage my time in a way that I can help people understand hearing loss isn't just about getting older... and that often It's preventable, and early action can make a meaningful difference.

Thank you again to Kathy the Rotary Club for your hospitality and for everything you do to serve Todd County.

I look forward to continuing to support our community through education, prevention, and hearing healthcare.

⚠️RACE SHIRTS: if you registered for the Firecracker 5K, but were unable to attend the race on Saturday, your T-shirt is at the The Todd County Welcome Center, 1 Public Square, Elkton. Welcome Center hours are Mon, Wed, & Fri 8:30 - 3:30.

RACE UPDATE: 30 minute delay.
After speaking with the National Weather Service and Todd County Emergency Management, we are going to try to go ahead with the race, but will have a 30 minute delay with a new start time of 8:30AM. We will delay another 30 minutes if needed, or call the race off at that time if necessary.

Please use your best judgment.

If you are registered and just want to stop by and pick up your shirt, someone will be at the Milliken until at least 9:30 AM

⚠️TOMORROW‼️ There will be over 100 runners/walkers in Elkton between 8-9:00AM & the route will 💥NOT💥 be closed to vehicles, so please use caution and stay alert.

⚠️The only place traffic will be blocked is the turn from the Square onto S. Main, but there are several short detour options, and a volunteer will be on hand to give instructions if needed. Thank you for your patience & understanding!

⚠️Firecracker 5K WEATHER PLAN⚠️
We are working with the National Weather Service and Todd County Emergency Management to keep an eye on tomorrow's weather, but as of now the race is ON! 🤞🏻 Please use your best judgement if you have a long drive. Our weather plan is as follows:

🌧️ Light to moderate rain: RACE CONTINUES as scheduled
⚡️Lightening detected within 30 minutes of start time: DELAY up to 1 hour.
⛈️ Severe weather: Race will be CANCELLED.

If we must cancel due to expected severe weather, we will make that call around 6:00AM tomorrow after speaking with the National Weather Service. We will email registered participants and announce it on the Rotary Club of Elkton, KY page.
