Elkton Rural Fire PD is an all volunteer fire department in the Coastal Mountain Range of SW Oregon.

The fire district covers 98 square miles surrounding the City of Elkton and includes 10 miles of the Umpqua River and multiple miles of 2 State Highways.

Lifeflight came out for Monday night drill. Joining Elkton Rural Fire were members of both Kellogg Rural Fire and Scottsburg Rural Fire. This training keeps us up to date on working around medical helicopters, patient loading procedures, and safety.

Elkton Rural Fire is pleased to announce that we have received this grant for a second year. The funding of this grant allows for firefighter employees to staff the station/district during wildfire season, giving us a faster initial response for all calls.

Fire (Structural, Brush, Vehicle) - 25
Motor Vehicle Accidents - 48
Public Service (Lift assist, tree down, assisting EMS, etc.) - 35
Total call volume for 2025 - 108

(Elkton Fire does not respond to medical aids; however, we do assist EMS on some calls. Hence our call volume may be lower than surrounding districts)
