AQI (Air Quality Index) is a tool that lets the public know when air pollution levels may be harmful. When AQI levels rise, the air becomes more polluted and potentially dangerous to your health.
Poor air quality can affect everyone, but it’s especially risky for:
• Children and teens
• Older adults
• People with heart or lung conditions
• Anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors

The color of food does not always mean it is done. A food thermometer is the best way to make sure your food is cooked safely. Be sure to always check the inside temperature of the food to keep you and your guests safe from food borne illness.

Hiring someone with a developmental disability may be simpler than you think.

Here’s some tips to get started:

• Look at your tasks, not just job titles. (What needs to get done? Who could help with it?)
• Get support. Local Service Providers can help find a match and train them on the job (Not sure who to call? We can get you connected).
• Onboard with help. Job coaches stick around to guide your new employee and answer questions, so you’re not doing it alone.

With the right help, inclusive hiring can be smooth and bring you a motivated employee to add to your team.

Ready to get started?

Reach out to our Developmental Disabilities Coordinator, Laurie Holt, to learn how you can hire your first employee with a developmental disability.

You can call her at (509) 933-8310 or send her an email at [email protected].

Handwashing isn't just about keeping yourself healthy; it's also about setting a good example for those around you. Regularly washing your hands can inspire others in your home and community to do the same.
