The Ellensburg Arts Commission (EAC) was established in 1980 for the purpose of appropriately advising the City Council and staff regarding the furtherance of performing and/or visual arts within the city for the benefit of both the local public and visitors and tourists whom the city desires to attract. The EAC advises the Ellensburg City Council on matters relating to the arts to:
Support local artists through professional development and organized events;
Acquire and maintain public art for the City of Ellensburg;
Broaden and deepen arts education for all ages to help improve educational outcomes;
Celebrate the depth and richness of our culture within our unique and creative community to help foster civic engagement;
Strengthen awareness and understanding of the value of artists and the arts as an economic driver for Ellensburg. Core Values

Congratulations to 2026 Ellensburg Arts Commission Grant Awardee, the Ellensburg Dance Ensemble, on their upcoming original dance interpretation of The Little Prince.

This locally supported production brings together ballet, lyrical, and tap dance to reimagine a timeless story through movement, creativity, and community artistry. Supporting projects like this is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Ellensburg’s creative sector and expanding opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the arts.

Catch performances this May at the Morgan Performing Arts Center and help celebrate the incredible talent growing within Ellensburg’s creative community. ✨🎭💫
