Congratulations goes out to our own Commissioner Tom "TJ" Briggs and Treasurer Debbie Buckler Briggs .

Tom and Debbie were presented with the "Impact in the Arts" award at the 14th Annual Ulster County Executive arts awards held at Diamond Mills in Saugerties.

The award was for their longstanding work with the Shadowland Stages.

It is with profound sadness the we announce the passing of Pioneer Engine Company Honorary Life Member Nelson Durland . Nelson was a 70 year member of the Hurleyville Fire Dept and has held many positions during his career. Rest easy Nellie, we will see you on the floor above.

Today, your dedicated Town of Wawarsing fire company's (Ellenville, Cragsmoor, Kerhonkson) participated in the U.C.V.F.A. parade/ Napanoch Fire Co. 100th Anniversary parade. These men & women brought home the following trophies;

2nd place marching 15 and over.

The smoke everyone is seeing is from the Canadian Wildfires. There are NO fires in our area. The Chiefs have already checked several reports about the smoke.

Today we participated in the annual Port Jervis parade. We are happy to announce that we won 2 trophies;
1) 1st place marching
2) 2nd place aerial ladder

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Dave Allen. Dave was a member of the U.C. EMS Council, a N.Y.State fire instructor and a member of the Spring Lake fire dept (Ulster County). Rest in eternal peace sir, we will take it from here.
