Today we celebrate an incredible milestone - 50 years of dedication, service, and commitment to the Ellerbe Rescue Squad and Richmond County! 💛

For five decades, you’ve answered the call, shown up when it mattered most, and made a lasting difference in this community. Your time and sacrifice have not gone unnoticed. These pictures show him in action on some of the many, many calls he has answered.

Thank you for the lives you’ve touched, the example you’ve set, and the legacy you continue to build. Here’s to 50 amazing years and the impact that will carry on for generations to come.

Due to an accident scene, northbound I-73 in Ellerbe between mile markers 28 and 30 will be closed for an extended amount of time. ⚠️

Tonight, Ellerbe Rescue held their 2025 Christmas party.

A huge thanks to Chasing Sunshine Catering for always providing a wonderful meal!

Congratulations to Brandon Bowers on Squadman of the Year & Brandon Murphy on the Distinguished Service Award. We are thankful to have both of them on the squad & we are grateful for their dedication.

Also, we want to welcome Ben McLain back after being gone for almost a year & we want to thank him for his service!
