Sunday Vespers during the Easter Season at the Shrine of St. Anthony

12290 Folly Quarter Road, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042

The Franciscan Friars of the Shrine of Saint Anthony invite our friends and neighbors to join us for Sunday Evening Prayer (Vespers) during the Easter Season.

Please join us on the following Sundays from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in our chapel for prayer, Eucharistic adoration, a spiritual reflection offered each week by one of the friars, and Benediction. Each evening will conclude with fellowship and refreshments in our friary refectory (dining room)!

The spiritual theme of each Sunday will follow the Gospel of the Day:

* April 14th, the Third Sunday of Easter
— The Road to Emmaus

* April 21st, the Fourth Sunday of Easter
— Jesus, the Good Shepherd

*April 28th, the Fifth Sunday of Easter
— Jesus, the True Vine

*May 5th, the Sixth Sunday of Easter
— Jesus tells us to "Remain in his Love"

*April 12th, the Ascension of the Lord
— Proclaim the Gospel to Every Creature

*April 19th, the Feast of Pentecost
— Receive the Holy Spirit!

Please join us on these Sundays!

All Are Welcome!

Dish washing after supper:

Our friars aspire to mutual love and a commitment to serve others! We hope this is made evident in the way we joyfully embrace the everyday, ordinary activities of our Christian and Franciscan lives!

“Regarding mutual charity, you have been taught by God to love one another; indeed you do this for all your sisters and brothers.

Nevertheless we urge you to progress even more, and to aspire to live peaceful lives, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your own hands, as you have been instructed.”

(Cf. 1 Thessalonians 11:9-11).
