🪡 At our Elkridge Branch and DIY Education Center, one of our DIY Instructors did a class for a group from Scouts BSA Troop 649, Scouting America. Their troop leader has taken a couple of sewing classes with us, and had asked if we would consider teaching her scouts how to use sewing machines to add badges to their sashes. Our ever-amazing volunteer sewing instructor, Lois, took the lead and we were able to instruct everyone in both hand sewing and sewing machine basics. Everyone was enthusiastic about learning and left there with new skills!

💐 Some of our staff recently helped someone at length recently, and to say thank you, the community member brought them flowers! Our friend who gave us the flowers said, "I wanted to thank you for all your work and time. I gave up on myself, but you did not give up on me." Thank you for sharing your library love with us!
