AAIC Visual Perceptions - Dropped in to snap some photos of the train and found a fire truck responding to a call. Not sure what was happening - neat photo though eh? Slow shutter with a dronie-drone is simply amazing!

It's Taco Tuesday! Maybe fish? 🤣🌮🤣🌮🤣

Extreme heat is sweeping over parts of the country in the coming days.

The inside of a car can reach deadly temperatures in minutes. Keep kids safe — NEVER leave them alone in a vehicle. 👶🌡️

On Saturday June 6th, 20 Ellicott City Volunteers attended a training burn at the Public Safety Training Center. Members conducted live fire evolution training on extinguishing car fires and various structural firefighting scenarios. When outdoor activities were suspended due to weather, the members moved inside the training center and conducted training on the treatment and care of cardiac arrest and severe trauma patients. Many thanks to the staff of DFRS' Education and Training Bureau for making this excellent training a reality for us.

Temperatures are heating up. Stay hydrated!

With temperatures getting warmer... "State health officials urged residents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day. Officials also encouraged Marylanders to check on vulnerable residents, including older adults and people with chronic illnesses.

Symptoms of heat-related illness can include muscle cramps, headaches, nausea, vomiting, weakness, disorientation and rapid breathing. Anyone experiencing severe symptoms is urged to seek medical attention immediately."

We would like to thank all of the EMS providers who support Howard County and who take time out of their busy lives to provide care for little or no recognition. The volunteer system provides company owned transport units (ambulances) which are not only staffed by volunteers but are requested to be used to fill voids when the duty calls. These ambulances are paid for by volunteer corporations, not EMS billing.
Thank you to ALL EMS Providers in one of the best combination systems in the country.
