If you've been wondering about how to get more involved or whether CASA is a good fit for you, we invite you to join us for an upcoming Info Session on Zoom. We would love to answer any questions you have, tell you more about our program and get to know you better!

Our next training class for volunteers starts in August (dates below), so if you're interested but unsure about what you're getting into, we'd love to talk more at the info session. Please RSVP to receive the Zoom link. And feel free to share with friends and others in your network!

Shout out to our amazing CASA Volunteers - every day people, looking to give back to their community!

Wendy is one of our incredible CASA volunteers in Howard County, Maryland who advocates for and mentors a five year old girl, who is one of 6 siblings in foster care in Howard County. By day, Wendy is a mom of three boys and has a long history of serving children and families in her community in church, camp and school settings. She likes to read, workout, spend time with friends, and care for her family. When asked why she volunteers, she shared, "I want to spend my time in ways that are meaningful and want to help where I can. I'm passionate about children and want to serve in ways that help make their lives better." Thank you, Wendy, for your continued and ongoing support and work with children who have experienced abuse and neglect in Howard County!

Two young women in Howard County are about to take a big step—aging out of foster care and into their own homes. 💛

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers who joined us at the CASA Day of Training hosted by the Department of Juvenile & Family Services at the Maryland Judiciary and the statewide network of CASA programs! 💙 It’s been a great two days learning together how to better serve our youth!

We also want to extend a special thank you to Judge Porter of the Howard County Circuit Court for her invaluable participation in our judiciary panel.

Shout out to our amazing CASA Volunteers - every day people, looking to give back to thier community!

Jeph has been one of our amazing CASA volunteers in Howard County, Maryland since 2023, advocating and mentoring two different children in the past 2.5 years. In addition to his work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children, Jeph is multi-talented - he's a potter, baker, fundraiser, volunteer, designer, web developer, gardener, and ailurophile (cat lover). At work, he combines his skills and passion for making a difference working with non-profit organizations. He enjoys time with friends, attending conventions, playing board games, and traveling with his partner.

When asked about what is most rewarding about being a CASA, he replied, "I'm excited to be able to give my time and energy to children who need someone to stand up for them and tell them that they are important."
