The Ellicottville Fire Department responded to 13 total calls for the month of July. They are broken down into 1 fire, 4 fire alarms, 2 motor vehicle accidents, 2 landing zones for life flight helicopters, 3 hazardous conditions, including trees or wires in the road, and 1 mutual aid stand by. This brings the total number of calls since January 1st to 146.
Ellicottville/Great Valley Ambulance had a total of 41 dispatches, including 7 stand bys. There were 20 calls in Ellicottville, 5 in Great Valley, 13 in Mansfield, and 3 ALS intercepts in East Otto. This brings the total number of dispatches since January 1st to 337.
The Ellicottville Fire Department and Ellicottville/Great Valley Ambulance are always looking for volunteers. These volunteer roles include firefighters, ambulance drivers, and emergency medical technicians. Training for these roles will be provided by the department. Ellicottville/Great Valley Ambulance is a joint service through the Ellicottville and Great Valley Fire Departments. To join, you must first become a member of one of these fire companies.
