********UPDATE********

Tonight April 30th, at approximately 2100 hours, a suspect was taken Into custody for the Burglary at 600 South Road.

After returning to the residence again tonight, the suspect fled on foot and was caught shortly after. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.

He was transported to the Reynolds County Jail, pending warrant application.

Sometime between Monday, April 25th through Thursday April 28th, 600 South road was burglarized. We are asking for any and all information pertaining to the individual(s) involved. Any information brought fourth will be completely anonymous.

This weekend starting Friday May 14th will begin the Ellington Spring Clean up. Dumpsters will be placed near City Hall until Monday morning. Bring your unwanted items and throw them away!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bonne Terre Police Department. Two officers were shot this morning responding to a disturbance call. The suspect opened the door and began firing on the officers. The officers returned fire, killing the suspect. One officer was killed, another in critical condition.

Anyone caught driving across this now pathway, will be charged with property damage and any other proper charges.

Be on the lookout!

Tonight around 6:30pm, a woman was attacked behind the Ellington Fire House. The suspect was wearing all black and a black ski mask.

Please be aware of your surroundings. Try not to walk alone at night.

***** DWI arrest *****

While responding to a motor vehicle accident on South Road, with the help of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the drivers of both vehicles were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Both were transported to the Reynolds County Jail, where they were booked and released.

Halloween Parade 10-30-21 at 9am!

The parade will begin at the baseball field, turn left on Maple street, then turn right onto 2nd street ( next to munch and pump), go through the 4-way, turning right on Temple street, then turning right onto Main Street, ending at the Main Street pavilion.

We hope to see many faces tomorrow morning!

As a tradition that hasn’t went on in quite some time, I would like to let everyone know if you would like to water balloon Halloween night starting at 9pm, you can.

I do ask that you do not put anything inside the balloons.

Also, if anyone hits a vehicle that is not involved in the water ballooning, you could be charged with property damage.

Aside from that, we hope to see everyone have a good time!
