Fair grounds work day, Saturday , Aug. 22nd. We will be cleaning the grounds in preparation for the up coming fair. Help is appreciated. Clean up starts at 8:00 am.

Time for Back-to-School 📚 and the Ellington Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual appreciation breakfast on Wednesday, August 19th kicking off the Southern Reynolds R2 District’s 2026-27 school year.

The Chamber welcomed 79 Teachers and Staff to the breakfast.

This event would not be possible without the support of our community. As always, we are never at a loss for contributions!! Special thanks to Monica Allen, Brent B Tinnin, Crocker’s Quick Stop, Don's Place, Double A Café, Ellington Nutrition Center, Hiland Dairy/Shane Reyes, Logan Valley Christian Retreat, Opy’s , Orange Blossom, Missouri Farm Bureau/Jean Goldsborough, McCormack/Ellington Telecom, Peoples Community Bank, Reynolds County Abstract, The Joyful Cup, and as always Southern Reynolds R2 School for set up, table décor, and providing coffee.

Chamber and community members Christy Roberts, Tricia George, Robin Hedrick, Betsy Swyres, Josh Feeler, Deanna Turner, Robin McCabe, and Paula Dement enjoyed serving teachers and staff and welcoming them back.

We are blessed to live in a community of caring individuals and businesses that are so willing to step up, donate their time, services, and supplies for such an important event. The Chamber would like to thank everyone that had a hand ensuring the teachers and staff started off the 2026 school year with a hearty breakfast and the support of our community! A special thanks to chamber member Paula Dement, who chairs this event each year😊

Elementary, Middle School and High School students …….

We are excited to announce that Southern Reynolds County R-II School District qualifies for free meals for all students for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is through a federal program called the CEP (Community Eligibility Provision). There are no individual applications to fill out. All students are automatically qualified. This does not erase any existing lunch bills that were left unpaid from previous years. Those amounts will carry forward, but no new charges will be added.
