Giving an update on our female firefighter that was involved in the accident on 9/11/2026: She was subsequently transferred from Poplar Bluff to SSM St Louis University Hospital, as a Level 1 Trauma patient. After treatment, she was released and returned home. She returned to the Doctor for a surgery consultation on Wednesday, and was admitted for treatment and a scheduled surgery on Thursday. This surgery is the first of possibly many to repair her hand and arm injuries from the accident.
If you have asked yourself what you could do to help, now is your time to shine! There has been an account opened at Great Southern Bank in the name of Lindsay Bondy, and/or there is the Cash App $bondylindsay available. Brent B Tinnin Nursing Home is also receiving donations at their facility.
This community has always blessed our locals in times of need, so we have high hopes that Lindsay receives the same blessings as she struggles to recover. There is no amount too great or too small. As always, your Fire Department thanks you for your continued prayers and support.

It is with deepest regret that we inform you of the passing of one of our fire fighters in a motor vehicle accident today. His wife, the passenger, was also a member of our department, and was transferred by ambulance to the hospital with significant injuries. Prayers for their family and our department in the upcoming days and weeks would be greatly appreciated. God bless you all!

Thank you Ellington for the support of our fund raiser for Muscular Dystrophy. We raised $1123.00 doing this boot drive. Fire Departments across America have made this a tradition since 1954. We were asked to assist this year and i'm proud to say that you did not dissapoint. Once again, THANK YOU
