We had a wonderful time at the BHCS Open House yesterday! 📚✏️

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello and grab some goodies! It was so great meeting so many students and families and sharing all that the Ellisburg Library has to offer.

We hope everyone had a great first day today, and we’re wishing all the students, teachers, and staff a happy, healthy, and successful school year! 💛

We love being part of such an AMAZING COMMUNITY!

After careful consideration and many conversations about how we can best serve our community, the Ellisburg Free Library Board and staff have decided it is in the best interest of our community to adjust our library hours to keep our library moving forward.

As many of you know, our Director Denise is taking on a new role this fall — but don't worry, she will still be here at the library! This new schedule allows us to continue providing the programs and services you love while balancing our staffing needs.

Starting September 1, our new hours will be:
Monday: 9 AM - 1 PM
Tuesday: 4 PM - 7 PM
Thursday: 4 PM - 7 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 12 PM
Closed Wednesday

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support of our small but mighty library. We can't wait to see you during our new Thursday evening hours!

📚Labor Day Closure Notice📚

The Library will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.

We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8 at 4pm.

We are excited to share our newest display of rotating artwork now on view at the Ellisburg Library! Come visit and celebrate the creativity of our local students artists. The display features work from talented students in grades 4 through 6. The artwork below is listed in order from first to last picture, from left to right:

Join us for a Meet the Author, Reading & Book Signing with Henderson native, Eli Anderson: Children's Book Author!

He'll be reading his book, The Forgotten Cabin- Perfect for little listeners and families.

🎉 What a great way to celebrate the end of our Summer Reading Program! 📚

We had such a blast with Ron Cain’s Dino Magic Mystery Show! 🦖✨

All of our participants received a bag full of swag and awards to celebrate their hard work and reading this summer! And, last but not least, five lucky winners took home a NeeDoh and an ice cream gift card to Country Belle Farms! 🍦🎁
