Today at Central County Emergency 911, we had the privilege of welcoming a group of young future leaders.

Participants in this week’s First Responder Camp (ages 13–18) spent time with our team learning about the vital role 911 plays in public safety here in St. Louis County.

We shared an overview of our agency, how we support law enforcement, fire, and EMS, and what happens behind the scenes when someone dials 911. Most importantly, they had the opportunity to tour our center and see our telecommunicators in action—answering calls, coordinating resources, and making a difference in real time.

It’s always inspiring to connect with the next generation of first responders and community leaders. Their curiosity, engagement, and passion for service give us great confidence in the future of public safety.

Thank you to the First Responder Camp organizers for the opportunity to be part of this impactful experience—and to these young participants, we’re cheering you on as you explore your path in public safety! 🚨
