Governor Tony Evers has proclaimed June 1–7, 2026, as Medicare Fraud Prevention Week in Wisconsin, highlighting the importance of protecting older adults from scams, fraud, and abuse. This week serves as a reminder to review Medicare statements, guard personal information, and report suspicious activity. Together, we can help safeguard Medicare benefits and ensure these vital resources remain available for those who need them most.

Check out the Wisconsin Senior Medicare Patrol website for more information and resources on current scams and how to avoid them.
