Elm Mott Volunteer Fire & Rescue

Elm Mott Volunteer Fire & Rescue Firefighting - one of the few professions left that still makes house calls since 1955

Volunteer firefighters serve the community by responding to a wide variety of situations, ranging from emergencies that immediately threaten life or property to routine citizen requests for information or assistance. They perform duties in the following general categories: fire suppression, emergency medical aid or rescue, hazardous material responses, training, and building inspection and public education.

It only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep a vehicle off the roadway, and flooded roads often hide washed-out pavement, debris, and other hazards. If you come across a flooded street, low-water crossing, or roadway with standing water, find an alternate route.

Please:

* Slow down and stay alert.
* Avoid driving through flooded roadways.
* Watch for emergency responders and road closures.
* Keep an eye on weather updates throughout the evening.

Let’s look out for one another and stay safe, Waco. If you don’t have to be out, consider staying home until the worst of the weather passes.

Join us in congratulating Hagen Kelley on graduating from MCC Fire Protection Technology Fire Academy Class #67.

Hagen began his journey with Elm Mott Fire Rescue back in 2018 at just 16 years old, stepping up to serve his community early. Since then, he’s continued to grow, completing his EMT certification and now the Fire Academy.

Your commitment, discipline, and heart to serve don’t go unnoticed. We’re proud to have you as part of the team and even more excited to see what’s ahead for you.

Congratulations, Hagen, well earned.
