With the assistance of the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office, Elma Police Officers were able to identify and take the suspect involved in the attempted ATM burglary into custody.

The Elma Police Department would like to thank our community for the information, assistance, and shares related to this investigation.

🚔 🚨Warrant Emphasis Results!

Last week several officers of EPD conducted a warrant sweep placing several subjects into custody with outstanding warrants, for various criminal offenses out of Elma. This proactive emphasis encouraged many individuals to also address and take care of their warrants voluntarily.

We appreciate the amazing work of our officers and the cooperation shown by those who chose to handle their warrants. Fun fact over $29,000 in bail tied to outstanding warrants was taken care of during this emphasis.

It’s Telecommunicators Week!

We are giving a big shoutout to Grays Harbor - 911 Communications 🎧

Each year they handle tens of thousands of calls. In March alone they had over 7,000 incoming calls, from life threatening emergencies to, “my mom didn’t answer and didn’t know who else to call” moments.

They juggle radios, phones, and keeping first responders up to date with call details.

Thank you for keeping Grays Harbor running 24/7. We hear you… and sorry for missing status checks. 👏📞
