With a network of volunteers, MOWSC has served over a million meals to homebound elderly and disabled

Meals On Wheels of Salem County, Inc., has been delivering nutritious meals since 1977 to elderly and disabled county residents who cannot shop for or prepare meals due to physical and/or mental limitations. The program’s ability to grow from serving 3,930 meals to over 40,000 a year has depended upon our more than 300 volunteers who remain committed to our organizational mission.

We are incredibly grateful to Dempsey Weiss & Associates for their generous donation of a pig from the Salem County 4-H Fair to Meals on Wheels of Salem County!
There is something special about the traditions that bring our community together. The Salem County 4-H Fair celebrates agriculture, hard work, dedication, and the important connection between the animals raised with care and the community they ultimately help feed.
Thanks to Dempsey Weiss & Associates, this local tradition continues beyond the fairgrounds and directly benefits the seniors and individuals we serve. Their generosity is a beautiful example of how local agriculture, businesses, and community organizations can work together to care for our neighbors.
We are grateful to be part of a community where traditions have a purpose, generosity has an impact, and everyone has a role in helping one another.

🚗 Looking for a flexible way to give back?

Meals on Wheels of Salem County is seeking fill-in volunteers to help cover meal delivery routes when our regular drivers are unavailable. There's no need to commit to a weekly schedule—simply be available when you can!

As a backup volunteer, you'll help ensure local seniors and adults with disabilities continue receiving nutritious meals, wellness checks, and friendly visits.
