Meals on Wheels of Chemung County

Meals on Wheels of Chemung County Founded in 1970 to serve nutritious meals, to those residents who are unable to prepare or procure meals for themselves, enabling a healthy independence.

We deliver meals Monday through Friday to homebound or disabled residents of the county. All ages can be served (not just seniors) if they meet the qualifications.

We are in need of your Styrofoam coolers!! If you get meal kits or medications delivered to your home, we can take some off your hands.
We would really prefer them to be at least 15x15x12 as we pack them for clients that get only one weekly delivery and a lot of food goes in them.
If you are able they can be delivered to 409 William Street, or if you call, we can come pick them up.

Our food delivery got messed up this morning. We will be swapping the meals for this Wednesday and next.
Today: Veggie Lasagna
Next Wednesday: Chicken Cordon Bleu.
Thank you for your understanding.
We KNEW those drone deliveries were going to be a problem 🤣🤣🤣

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO FILL THIS OUT FOR OUR LOCAL OFFICE OF THE AGING. THE MORE INFORMATION THEY HAVE ABOUT OUR NEEDS THE BETTTER CHANCE WE GET OF HAVING THOSE NEEDS MET.

Please find the link below to our 2026 Community Needs Assessment Survey! It is very important that we gather information from our community members and partners regarding programming and service needs. This is also used to identify any Unmet Needs or gaps in services within our community and assists us with developing/revising our goals for the Department of Aging and Long Term Care’s Four Year Plan.

The Community Needs Assessment survey also provides us with details to assist us in our efforts to advocate for additional funding to support our growing aging population so that they can remain living as independently as possible for as long as possible in their own homes.

Please share this link below with your contacts, families and friends and ask them to take a few minutes to complete this survey.
