Residents ask last night what does 2 mills look like on my tax bill for the fire department.

2 mills = $2.00 on every $1,000.00 of taxable value.

Your home has a taxable value of $100,000.00 the Fire / EMS mileage cost would be $200 a year.

In perspective that’s $16.66 a month. That is cheaper than a pizza night for the family. And who doesn’t like pizza 🍕.

🚨 Community Update from Hudson Township Fire & Rescue 🚨

Hudson Township Fire & Rescue is aware of the growing concern regarding the potential flooding of Hoffman Lake and Bingham Road due to what is believed to be a possible beaver dam.

Please know that we are actively working alongside the Charlevoix County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management,Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Charlevoix County Roan Commission to assess the situation and determine the safest and most appropriate course of action.

At this time, we ask everyone to use caution if traveling in the area and to avoid any flooded roadways or areas that may become unsafe. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work together to keep our community safe.
