🚨911 Service Restored🚨

All 911 lines have been restored, and using the normal 911 number will now properly work.

From what we have been told, the issue was due to a fiber cut. We appreciate everyone who followed our page and used the alternative contact methods while our service provider worked through the issue.

As always, please only dial 911 in the event of an emergency.

Did you know that West Elmira has Fire Investigation capabilities within our ranks? The West Elmira Fire Department has 2 full investigators in our Fire Marshall Bob Young, and our Assistant Chief Mark Cicora, and now Investigator Apprentice Zach Leipold. Helping determine cause and origin of fires in West Elmira and throughout Chemung County.

The West Elmira Fire Department, in conjunction with the American Heart Association and Arnot Health, are hosting a BLS Provider CPR class at our station on May 30th at 9am. The West Elmira Fire Department is having a Chicken BBQ this Saturday, May 2nd. Serving will begin at 11:30 and the cost is $12.50 a plate. Chicken, salt potatoes, beans, and a roll. Hope to see you all there!
