HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026! Thank you to everyone who came out on New Year's Day to participate in the First Day Hike - on your own! We hope you had a great time.

Due to possible snow New Year's Eve into early hours New Year's Day as well as various weather conditions leading up to the event, the First Day Hike will be a hike on your own format between 9am - 3pm. The gate at the bottom of the hill will be closed to vehicle traffic and there is very limited parking. Trails are closed due to weather conditions so please stay on the park road or service roads. First Day Hike Bandanas will be available at the gate and a portable toilet is available about 50 yards past the gate on the right side of the road.
