The Department of Aging & Long Term Care will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8 during our regular business hours.

💙 Your voices matter!

Today, we were honored to spend time with the Van Etten and Surrounding Areas Senior Citizens Group sharing information about the many programs and services available to older adults throughout Chemung County.

More importantly, we had a meaningful discussion about the unmet needs of older adults in our rural communities. These conversations are so important because they help us better understand the challenges our neighbors face and identify where additional support is needed.

The information and feedback shared today will help us inform our State Office for the Aging, strengthening their ability to advocate for the funding and resources needed to help older adults remain living independently and safely in their own homes.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn, and work alongside older adults and community members to develop programs and services that address the needs that still exist in our community.

We had 200 people sign up to attend this event! What a great day for older adults in Chemung County! We are so thankful to have the opportunity to serve you! 💜

Chemung County Fairgrounds. Our senior BINGO gets bigger and better every year, I first saw the program in Dutchess County and told our Director about it, Beth and her team have improved on it year after year and it's now one of our senior marquee events. Great job by Office of the Aging and Long Term Care.
