Calling all Elmira: we need YOU for the 70th Annual Holiday Parade

Seventy years of this parade doesn't happen without a village of people behind the scenes, and this year we want to fill every single role. Here's where we need help:

🙋Event Volunteers – help us run the show on parade day!
👗Costume Fitting Volunteers – help fit, organize and return our 300+ costumes on the day of
🧺Costume Check-In Volunteers – help costumed characters check in!
🚚Drivers – People who can pull floats during the parade
🧹Clean-Up & Tear-Down Crew – help us pack it all up once the parade passes

And it's not just individual volunteers we're looking for: organizations, this is your call too!
- Bring your people to wear costumes from one of our 21 floats
- Bring your own float, decorated and staffed with your own costumed characters
- Bring your marching band, dance group, military unit, or other sport or performance group to walk the route

Every one of these roles helps make this parade what it is. For our 70th year, we want to fill the streets like never before so whether it's an hour of your time or a whole organization joining in, we'd love to have you.

We had to make an update to our 2026 Alive After Five Schedule!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Alive After Five of 2026 that was scheduled for September 11th at Empire Sports of the Southern Tier will be postponed until winter.

The August 28th 2026 at Rye Bar and Restaurant is STILL ON and our friends at will be there to join the party! We hope to see you there!🎶
