Running back Lucas Caldwell rushed for four touchdowns, including the game-winning 21-yarder with 38 seconds left in the game as Woodmore remained perfect (9-0) with a 28-22 win at home over Lakota. Caldwell rushed for 273 yards on 26 carries as WHS had a 365-238 edge in yards.

The middle school football team earned a 48-18 win at Lakota. Lukas Johnson had six rushing touchdowns while Cole Caldwell also rushed for a score. Caldwell had one two-point conversion while Jayden Rizzo had two two-point conversions.

The HS volleyball teams lost matches at home to Ottawa Hills - the varsity lost, 25-11, 19-25, 25-19, 25-20; the JV team lost, 25-21, 25-10.

Woodmore High School cafeteria was presented the Ottawa County Environmental Health Award on Tuesday, October 13 at the October Ottawa County Board of Health meeting in Port Clinton. Our high school received the yearly Food Service Operation - Limited Menu (hospitals, schools, nursing homes, etc.) Award. Honorees are selected based on sustained regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Congrats to Christine Barnhouse, Kelly Maynard, and Michaelena Martikan on receiving this outstanding award. If you see them around, please congratulate them! The plaque will be hanging in the cafeteria for all to see!

The girls soccer team defeated Ada on the road, 2-0. Bailey Meggitt and Taylor Hill scored the goals. Abbie Schmeltz had four saves in goal.

The boys soccer team lost a 7-0 decision at home to Ashland Crestview. Jack Avers have 14 saves in goal.

The boys soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Otsego at home. Blake Avers had two goals and an assist while Michael Sievert had the other Wildcat goal and David Kigar had an assist.

The 7th grade volleyball team finished second in the the SBC Tournament winning matches over Gibsonburg, 25-16, 25-19; and Margaretta, 14-25, 25-23, 27-25; before losing in the championship match to St. Joseph CC, 25-13, 25-19. They finish the season with a 16-6 record.
