📚✨ Hello, Edgewood Family! ✨🎨🎶

My name is Courtney Mathis, and I am so excited to introduce myself as Edgewood’s new Librarian, Elementary Music Teacher, and Elementary Art Teacher! I feel incredibly blessed to join such a wonderful school community, and I can’t wait to get to know all of our amazing students and families.

My goal is to create a library and classrooms that are bright, welcoming, creative, and full of opportunities for every child to learn, explore, and grow. I look forward to sharing our projects, celebrating student accomplishments, and giving you a behind-the-scenes look at all the fun happening this school year!

As a first-year teacher in these roles, I’m still working to build my classrooms and library. If you’d like to help, I have an Amazon Wishlist filled with supplies that will directly benefit our students. Every donation, big or small, is truly appreciated!

We’re also accepting donations for:
🍬 Individually wrapped candy to reward and encourage our students.
🛍️ AR Store items such as small toys, stickers, fidgets, pencils, erasers, bookmarks, or other fun prize items that students can earn through reading.

Friday-Saturday Feb. 27-28, JV softball/baseball tournament

Saturday, Feb. 28 Daddy/ Daughter Mother/son Valentines Dance with a DJ and food trucks from 6-8pm $5 per person entey fee

Sunday, March 1 Beauty and Beau Pageant 2:00! $10 entry fee. This is the funniest fundraiser!! Proceeds go towards the Junior/Senior Prom

Monday-Friday, March 2-6 Dr. Seuss Week for Read Across America! We will have a special guest on Wednesday, March 4th and a special snack on Friday, March 6th.

Don’t forget your child is allowed to bring a special toy for Show and Tell during their assigned Library day! Their days are listed above each day on the Dr. Seuss graphic
