There is a group of individuals making false claims and accusations on their “Page” make false statements about ICE operations in Elmwood Park.
There has been not a single resident that has been detained or arrested that is a resident of Elmwood Park. The only ICE activities that have been conducted have been of individuals of whom they were of interest. ICE is not terrorizing the public in EP and have only detained or arrested outsiders that they were looking for. Unfortunately, during these activities and arrests Iother individuals are being detained if they are also illegal. It’s unfortunate situation and not one person I have come into contact with is happy about what is happening but knowing the truth and not Passing false information is what resident should focus on.
I am Mexican, my name is Mexican, I’m brown in skin color and I look and fit the profile as many others and I have not once been worried or afraid of ICE agents during any of my extracurricular activities.
As a matter of fact while I was shopping in the city last week I was in the vicinity of a ICE arewst wnd loterally geey away feom agents and i was not one bit afaraid for my safety or aftaid of being approached or dod anytime did an agent try to make contact with me. Again, it’s not a situation that I can control and I absolutely feel sorry for others but they are not targeting random individuals.
The Truth needs to be told and not allow some disgruntled individuals that have other agendas place fear in Elmwood Park residents when there have been absolutely No incidents or arrests made of any Elmwood Park residents.
