SRO D. Utsinger & myself have some golden baseballs to hand out from the Peoria Chiefs baseball team for a promotion during August & September for 2 free tickets providing the golden balls are shown at the Dozer Park downtown Peoria. We'll scout around for the kids doing / shown positive behavior.
Unlike K9 Boone who got really wound up seeing these hard baseballs, bossman had to hold his collar for a better presentation like his sidekick Rebel was displaying.

August 5th Rebel turns a big 13!! Stop by our City Hall Municipal Building @ 10am for a meeting & greet, free pets - kisses from Rebel!!
P.S... loves tiny soft treats and/or squeaky tough toys!! Hard to believe a BIG 13TH Bday. 🐾🐾

Today we're all outside enjoying this much cooler temperatures & fresh air while Boone runs around playing!!
Rebel's loves his squeaky toys, occasionally runs after them too. At his age (almost 13) he likes being catered too with toys & treats.
It's a vacation day for us trio. 🐾

It's been toast hot outside lately for everyone!
Since Rebel's retired - today he didn't want to come along with Boone & I to work / Patrol, BUT that's definitely ok with us!! Rebel stayed home in the AC laying on his favorite orthopedic mat next to the AC register getting pampered. That fur coat he's has gets him really hot. Even tho our squad is equipped with a dual AC zones system, the K9 pups section we make it really colder with the fan on high speed just for them, checked by the extra heat alarm sensors.
(In just 3 weeks his BIG '13TH' B-Day arrives). 💙🖤🚓🐾

Early morning vehicle safety check (narcotics), but that tongue, ears & eyes - I'm seeing out of Boone....those expressions my body camera picked up on!
Boone loves doing his job tho!!

Tonight a deep cleaning & scrubbing down the interior of the squad! Guess whose thinking we're going to work?? LOL, poor guy - he's always ready to go!!
P.S. Rebel too got the defur-vacuum job too!!

Boone's protecting bossman from the big banging noises of the fireworks lastnight!!
Last year we ended our shift early on the 4th due to Boone getting pretty sick 7 times - super worked up!!
Already we're super freaked out over fireworks, won't go outside at the moment, and now we're velcro to bossman scared & heart racing.
We've been training for this day during the year BUT....
Unfortunately Boone's not like Rebel, nothing scares or bothers Rebel!! 💙🖤🐾

The heat & humidity had these 2 beat early lastnight. Limited, but not forgotten activities spaced out for play & exercises on patrol & off duty threwout our daily fun & work.
