This past weekend, the Alamance County Service League had the privilege of joining Habitat for Humanity of Alamance County, NC's Women Build 2026, a national initiative that brings women together to build homes and empower women in their own communities. We spent the day helping put the final touches on two homes right here in Alamance County, homes that two families will walk into as their own this week.

We also got to meet the women who will call these houses home and hear their stories, and to see what this moment means for them and their children was something we won't forget. There is something deeply moving about standing in a space that will hold someone's whole life, knowing you had a small hand in making it possible.

Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for trusting us to be part of something this meaningful. This is what community looks like when it shows up for one another.

❤️ Did you know? The Alamance County Service League has been serving our community since 1929.

For nearly a century, League members have volunteered thousands of hours supporting local nonprofits, families, and community partners throughout Alamance County. Every fundraiser helps us continue that mission.

When you join us at Panera on October 26, you're doing more than buying dinner — you’re investing in your community.
Thank you for helping us make Alamance County a place where everyone thrives.
