Our fire department family is heartbroken. 💔

We ask our community to keep one of our own, his family, and all those who love them in your thoughts and prayers as they face the unimaginable loss of their sweet 7-year-old son, Terryl. ❤️

As a fire department, we are more than just a team. We are family. And when one of our own is hurting, we hurt alongside them. There are no words that can take away this kind of pain, but we hope this family feels surrounded by love and support as they navigate the days ahead.

What a night!

Over 1000 steak meals served! Smashed last years record by about 100 meals👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Over $5000 and counting donated to Joey and her family just tonight by this amazing community! Not to mention a number of cards that were received!!

We got some of the EFD crew together this nice September morning and spent a few hours checking all of our fire hoses and nozzles for leaks and excessive wear!
Huge shoutout to Chief Deters for supplying the donuts and getting us motivated to do this critical maintenance task that ensures our safety while on the fire scene as well as improves our efficiency overall.
As we were working together to get the job done, it was almost impossible not to reflect back on another September 12th 25 years ago- when our entire nation pulled together to crawl out of the remnants of an awful 9/11 and start the healing and rebuilding process.
It was a day filled with people from every walk of life working, praying with and comforting each other just for the sake of being fellow Americans. Total strangers coming together with one common goal of lifting our nation up stronger than it was before.
We remember that- and are filled with gratitude- for the brave efforts of the fallen heroes who gave their lives to save others on the 11th, and also for all the heroes who were there on the 12th trying to save just one more soul.

We will never forget

A little community activities update for you fine folks!

Tomorrow is the 1st annual Springfest in Spring Hill! Come on out for what rumors say will be a fabulous parade (with up to 40 floats already entered into the event!) starting at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Lots of candy for all and we will be participating in said parade as well!
Bring your family and friends on out to Spring Hill and join us in welcoming spring ‘26 with a bang!

Last Saturday, a few of us (more athletically inclined*) EFD members participated in the yearly Human Foosball event hosted by the Greenwald Pub! Although no games were won this year{by team Yellow Jackets}, we forced overtime in game 1 on the back of some great goaltending by Tyler Peters before getting blown out in game 2 by the Borgerding family team that included EFD member (and traitor!!)Tommy Borgerding! Fun was had by all- we can’t wait to try again next year! Thank you to Tyler Bertram for getting our team entered and organized!

Last night, our crew spent the evening sharpening their skills with hands-on pumper training 🚒💪

Training like this keeps our team ready to respond quickly and effectively when our community needs us most. From mastering pump operations to working together under pressure, every drill helps us stay prepared.
