Keigan Ormes has been on the department since he was 16 years old. He is a licensed MFR as well as a firefighter.

He wanted to be a lieutenant because he grew up in the fire service, from cadet to firefighter. Becoming a lieutenant was an opportunity to lead, give back to something he truly enjoys, and follow in his dad’s footsteps of serving his community.

Heath Arnett has been serving the Ovid-Elsie community for 25 years. Service has been in his blood since he served in the Michigan Army National Guard.

Heath’s fondest memory, though it’s not a positive memory it will stick with him forever, was taking Zak Miller for his final ride.

Donnie Peterson has been a firefighter for 33 years, 10 with Ovid and 23 with Elsie. Donnie enjoys training the new firefighters, being a part of the fire family and giving back to the community!

Donnie’s greatest memory was kicking in the door on the downtown bar fire, something blew up and knocked him and the other fire fighters on their butts!
