💙 Helping Nora Reach Her Goal! 💙

The Elsmere Police Department recently had the pleasure of meeting 4-year-old Nora, who has set a very special goal for herself — to collect 50 police patches before her 5th birthday! 👮‍♀️

Sgt. Davis, PFC Bush, and PFC Webb were excited to meet Nora, hear about her patch collection, and help support her awesome goal. We’re honored to be a small part of her journey!

A special thank you to Nora’s mother, Theresa, for allowing us the opportunity to meet Nora and share this memorable moment with her. ❤️

Nora, we hope you reach all 50 patches before your birthday! Keep collecting, keep smiling, and keep being awesome! 🚔💙

✏️ WELCOME BACK, BALTZ ELEMENTARY! ✏️

The first day of school is officially underway!

👮‍♂️ Detective Mitchell was on pencil patrol, handing out Elsmere Police pencils to the kids. Because every good school year needs the right tools—and we’re pretty sure those pencils make excellent detective equipment! 🕵️‍♂️✏️

🚦 Chief Giles was out directing traffic and making sure everyone made it safely to school. Apparently, “stop” and “go” are still easier commands than getting everyone to agree on where to park! 😂

🚨 Lieutenant Young was keeping an eye on the speed limit and reminding drivers that the school zone is not the place to practice your NASCAR skills. 🏎️💨 A few speeding tickets were handed out to help reinforce that message.

Thank you to all the parents, students, teachers, and staff for helping make the first day a safe and successful one!

🚨 PARKING PSA: Olga Road & Sanders Road 🚨

We’ve received a significant number of citizen complaints regarding parents parking illegally in the area while dropping off or picking up students.

We understand that everyone is trying to get where they need to go, but parking illegally creates traffic issues, obstructs roadways, and can create safety concerns for pedestrians, motorists, and other families.

So, consider this your friendly warning: 👮‍♂️

🚨Future violations will result in parking citations being issued.🚨

Please help us keep Olga Road and Sanders Road safe and accessible for everyone.

Park legal. Drive safe. Keep the tickets off your windshield. 🚔👍

Good morning, Elsmere community! I hope your week has been positive. This week, I had the privilege of attending the FBI-LEEDA Executive Leadership course, where we focused on building community trust.

During this course, we explored the expectations citizens have of their police department, as well as our expectations of the public we serve. I believe it's essential to hear directly from you, our valued residents.
