Big things are ahead for three members of the EHBEMS team!

Emmett, Emma, and Dani have officially begun the 11-month paramedic program at the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. Over the coming year, they will build on their experience as EMTs through intensive classroom education, clinical training, and field experience as they work toward becoming paramedics.

Paramedic school is a major commitment. It takes a tremendous amount of time, effort, discipline, and more than a little caffeine. We are incredibly proud of all three of them for taking on the challenge and continuing to advance their education and skills.

Their hard work will not only help them grow as EMS professionals, but will also strengthen the care we are able to provide to the communities we serve.

Please join us in congratulating Emmett, Emma, and Dani and wishing them the best as they begin this next chapter.

We are proud to have you representing EHBEMS. Now go make us proud!

House Fire Robeson Township

In the early hours of Sunday, emergency services were dispatched to the area of Furnace Road in Robeson Township for a reported house fire. Upon arrival, crews confirmed the fire and found the roof involved. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported among emergency personnel or residents.

Car Fire Elverson Borough

On Monday afternoon, emergency services responded to Chestnut Street in Elverson Borough for a motor vehicle accident involving a fire.
Ambulance 89-1 arrived first and confirmed that one vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, with the occupant safely outside the vehicle. EMS evaluated one person for injuries while the fire department worked to extinguish the fire.
The scene was cleared and emergency services were available again in under an hour.

On Friday, crews responded to a range of incidents including medical emergencies and traffic accidents while also supporting the National Night Out event at Honey Brook Elementary School.
