The Lexington Police Department is investigating a missing/runaway juvenile. She is identified as 15 year old Layla Mendoza. She was last observed by her family leaving their home with friends on March 11, 2021 at approximately 3:40 p.m. If anyone has any information as to her whereabouts you are urged to contact the Lexington Police Department at #308-324-2317 or on Facebook. Sheriff D. Bryan Leggott will be laid to rest at Elwood Cemetery on Thursday, February 4, 2021. A Law Enforcement led procession will be led through Gosper County and the Village of Elwood to the Elwood Cemetery prior to the 3:00 PM graveside service. The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office will be providing the Honor Guard for the service.

Gosper County Santa Cop made deliveries tonight. Some will be made tomorrow. We had names for 23 families consisting of 59 children. A huge Thank You to everyone that helped out this year. We hope the community effort brought some joy this Christmas Season.
