As part of the weeklong Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters, we proudly remember and honor Ely Volunteer Firefighter Robert W. Curto, who gave his life in the line of duty while fighting a fire in downtown Ely during the early morning hours of March 5, 1974.

Tonight marks the beginning of a powerful nationwide tribute.
From April 26 through May 3, we invite you to take part in Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters by shining a red light on your home, fire station, business, or community landmark.
This simple act creates a meaningful symbol of remembrance and unity—honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
Together, we can illuminate the nation in honor of our fallen heroes.

NSFA attendees, today is the day, to head to the Ely Volunteers Fire Hall for the meet and greet event. Featuring cocktails and good company to kick off the training weekend. Both Fire hall and Elks lodge bars are cash only. All proceeds from the fire hall go to the Ely Volunteer Fire Department and all proceeds at the Elk goes to Elks lodge Ely.

With two weeks remaining until the 1st NSFA regional training symposium, we would like to remind attendees to have their accountability forms signed and completed prior to arrival. The Nevada State Fire Marshall's office will provide live fire training using their burn trailer. We are excited to host this exceptional event and look forward to seeing everyone.

We are out and about, please say hi to these dedicated Ely Volunteer Fire Department members and purchase tickets for our chamber bucks raffle. Tickets are $5 each.
We will be raffeling off the following
3-$250 tickets
8-$100 tickets
Drawing will be Tuesday the 16th. (Will call winners directly)
