It’s that time of year again, hydrant testing began today and will run to the end of June weather permitting. If there is any extension to this, another notice will be posted here.

‼️TRAINING OPPORTUNITY‼️

On April 10th the Elyria Township Fire Department will be hosting a “Through The Lock” class presented by Mad Props Fabrication LLC.

This class will teach soft entry skills to gain entry to structures while causing little to no damage. These are extremely valuable skills to know that will save yourself time and your residents money.

As the weather begins to warm up the Elyria Township Fire Department is taking full advantage to get outside and train. Today your firefighters worked on quickly connecting to hydrants, stretching attack lines and deploying ladders for rescue operations.

Elyria Township Firefighter’s responded to both a vehicle fire and a working structure fire in the township yesterday. It was a busy 24 hours for our members but they did a great job.

Thank you to our mutual aid from the City of Elyria Fire Dept and the Sheffield Township Fire Dept for your assistance on the structure fire.
