Shift Supervisor Danielle Larish has been selected to receive two prestigious industry scholarships: the APCO Silent Key General Scholarship and the NENA Gold Line Leadership Scholarship.
The APCO Silent Key General Scholarship will fund her completion of the APCO Communications Training Officer Instructor (CTO-I) course, further enhancing her ability to develop and mentor communications personnel.
In addition, Danielle was awarded the NENA Gold Line Leadership Scholarship, which is available to 9-1-1 supervisors, managers, and directors employed full-time by public safety organizations. As part of this award, she will receive registration to the NENA Annual Conference & Expo, a pre-conference educational course, a $2,500 travel stipend, and enrollment in the Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP), which she has chosen to pursue.
These scholarships represent a significant investment in professional development and leadership within the 9-1-1 community. The knowledge and experience gained through these programs will benefit both Danielle and the Lorain County 9-1-1 Communications Center while providing access to training and educational opportunities that would otherwise require agency funding.
Congratulations to Danielle on this well-earned achievement and her continued commitment to excellence in public safety communications.
