The Emerald Isle Public Works Department provides many services to our residents and vacationers, including litter pick-up on the beach strand and along the NC-58 right-of-way, street and street sign maintenance, storm water control, mosquito control, right-of-way sight path clearing, town fleet vehicle maintenance and facility maintenance. The Public Works Department consists of 9 full time emplo
yees to maintain over 48 miles of street and 12 miles of ocean front beach. We are located directly behind Fire Station 1 at 206 Maritime Forest Dr.
