Our first Eagle Spotlight of the year goes to Mrs. Ashley Craig. Here is what the 5th grade team said about Mrs. Craig-
We would like to recognize Ashley Craig for her amazing work in 5th grade. She made the transition from working with the youngest students in the building to working with the oldest students, and she has embraced the change with confidence and enthusiasm. Mrs. Craig takes initiative in the classroom and consistently goes above and beyond for her students. She is always there to offer a helping hand, guide small groups, and assist students whenever needed. Her dedication and willingness to step up and support both students and staff do not go unnoticed. We are so lucky to have her on our team. Thank you, Mrs. Craig, for all you do!

Calling all crafters!

We are looking for crafty community volunteers to crochet bees for our classrooms in Emerson! We will supply the template and supplies. We need 26 bees to support our Bartow Cares initiative as we teach our students to be positive children!

Thank you to one of our community partners who keeps showing up again and again, Mrs. Laurie Dabbs-Gayton. She stopped by this afternoon to deliver school calendar magnets for all of our students and staff. We appreciate her so much!

🌈 Our Pre-K students had so much fun celebrating Color Week! Each day was filled with colorful outfits , hands-on learning , and lots of smiles !

We ended Color Week with Rainbow Day! 🌈 Our school nutrition specialist brought delicious rainbow snacks for us to taste. After trying each one, we graphed our favorites - such a fun and tasty way to learn !

Congratulations to our first PBIS winners this year! Students earn Eagle Cash each day for positive behavior and they are able to enter a PBIS drawing each week. Our teachers are sure to put their names on the back of the cash for a chance to win the teacher prize! Our lucky winners this week are all 3rd graders!

Ms. Taylor and a few of our fifth graders recently had the exciting opportunity to step outside the classroom and visit the Bartow History Museum as part of the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary! 🇺🇸

The Bartow History Museum was chosen as one of Georgia’s stops for the Smithsonian’s “Voices and Votes” exhibition. This traveling exhibit explores the history of voting in the United States and highlights the many voices that have helped shape our democracy throughout our nation’s history.

Our students loved the opportunity to experience this important piece of American history firsthand and make meaningful connections between what they are learning in the classroom and the history happening right here in our community.

We are so proud of our fifth graders for representing our school so well and taking advantage of this unique learning experience! What a wonderful way to learn through history
