The City of Emerson is seeking to fill the position of Police Officer - full time position with benefits. These are patrol positions.
Requirements; Diploma or GED, Driver's License and GA POST Certification. Must be able to pass fi****ms, physical, and polygraph. Benefits include take home car after FTO, City pays 100% of medical, dental, vision, $15,000 life insurance policy, long term disability, POAB dues, $40 per month towards cell phone bill and14 paid holidays for the employee. We hope everyone has been enjoying a very happy holiday season so far! Remember, our offices will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will reopen on December 26th.

Did you know that City of Emerson has a beautiful memorial ornament Christmas Tree located in the courtroom/council chamber? It is adorned and overflowing on all sides with beautiful ornaments that residents have added over the years to honor loved ones they have lost.

Tomorrow night is our 5th Annual Christmas Festival from 5:00 - 7:30 and it gives residents another opportunity to add ornaments to the tree or see it in person.

Originally, ornaments were added during our annual Christmas Programs over the years and now during the Christmas Festival each year. It is truly a sight to behold and we are so very proud to display it each year inside our council chambers.

Recently the Georgia Police K9 Foundation donated K-9 Ti a fitted Ballistic Vest. The Jerry Lee Strong Foundation donated K-9 Ti a tracking lead, six foot lead, four foot lead, waist lead, prong collar, flat collar, and two toys.

We would like to take the time to thank all of our wonderful and creative Trunk or Treat participants for making last night such a huge success! So many children of all ages had such a magical night because you donated your time, talent and treats! A night of free family fun was enjoyed by everyone.
