🚔 What began as a welfare check became a high-risk arrest when officers discovered a handgun in the driver’s waistband of a running vehicle occupied by two unconscious subjects.

The firearm was later confirmed stolen. Thanks to calm decision-making and teamwork, both occupants were safely detained and the driver was arrested without incident.

A tense situation. A safe outcome.

🟢Retrieve Mail Promptly
Pick up your mail as soon as possible after it's delivered. Leaving mail in your mailbox for an extended period increases the risk of theft.

🔴Mail Forwarding
If you're going to be away for an extended period, consider using the mail forwarding service provided by postal services.

🟠 Informed Delivery
See previews of your days mail scheduled to arrive soon. Go to usps.com to learn more.

🟢Install Security Cameras:
Place security cameras near your mailbox or at your front door. Visible cameras can act as a deterrent and provide evidence in case of theft.

🔴Signature Confirmation:
For important packages or sensitive documents, use services that require a signature upon delivery. This ensures that the item is received by the intended recipient.

🟢Be Mindful of Outgoing Mail:
If you're sending checks, bills, or other sensitive documents, use secure methods like postal services that offer tracking and confirmation of delivery.

🔴Neighbor Cooperation:
Establish a good relationship with your neighbors and consider keeping an eye on each other's properties. If you see something suspicious, report it.

☀️Summer Fun Shouldn’t End in a DUI Tragedy 🚔

Summer celebrations often mean more travel, more gatherings, and unfortunately, more impaired drivers on our roads.

Approximately one-third of all traffic crash fatalities in the United States involve drunk drivers with blood alcohol concentrations BACs of .08 of higher. In 2013, there were 10,076 people killed in these preventable crashes

A first-time DUI conviction in California can cost $10,000 to $20,000 or more when court fines, DUI classes, ignition interlock costs, insurance increases, towing fees, and other expenses are included.

Before you head out:
✅ Designate a sober driver
✅ Use a rideshare or taxi
✅ Call a friend or family member
✅ Stay where you are if you’ve been drinking

One decision can save a life. Drive sober. Arrive alive.
