I am inviting public interest in a potential initiative to establish a Citizen's Police Academy, a program designed to educate citizens about general police procedures and practices through weekly classes at the police department. Each class would last approximately one hour and focus on the operations of our local police department, while also providing a broader understanding of law enforcement practices. The proposed program is anticipated to run for six to eight weeks, with potential expansion contingent upon public and interdepartmental interest. As this project is currently in the planning phase, its duration will be determined by the level of interest it generates. I welcome constructive feedback and look forward to engaging with the community in a positive and productive manner.

Good morning,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new program that will work in perfect harmony with Eminence Shop with a Cop, spreading joy to every corner of our community! Introducing Helping E.L.F. (Eminence’s Littlest Friends), a program designed to support our youngest residents aged 0-4 years old. Since our little ones are not able to join us for Shop with a Cop, we wanted to ensure they're included and supported from now on. Let's come together to make a difference and encourage Eminence and Henry County to “Pack the PD!” with love and generosity! We welcome donations of new or gently used toys, clothes, socks, underwear, diapers, pull-ups, wipes, and more. You can drop off your donations at the PD at any time, and if no one is available, please use the parcel box inside the first set of doors. If it's full, kindly place your donation to the left of the entry door. Both lobbies are under 24-hour camera surveillance for added security. Please give new or gently used items that are in good condition, reflecting the love and care you'd want for your own family. This program will run throughout the year, with all items being distributed in December. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. Remember, donations for Shop with a Cop are accepted year-round. You can write a check and drop it off at City Hall or The PD, or use the QR code on our page for added convenience. Every donation goes directly into our Shop with a Cop bank account, supporting our community outreach and shopping experiences for the kids. We're grateful for your support. As always look out for and take care of each other.

Good morning! 🌞💙
Feeling especially grateful and humbled today. We started our morning with a visit from a member of the Kiwanis Club of Henry County, Kentucky, who surprised us with doughnuts from Sammy’s Bakery 🍩 and a stack of heartfelt thank‑you cards written and colored by students from HCECC.
We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to the Kiwanis Club and the amazing students at HCECC for reminding us why we do what we do—and what an honor it is to serve this community. 🙏💛
What was once a bare hallway wall is now almost completely covered with drawings, pictures, and cards from kids in our community. At this rate, we’re going to need to start decorating a second wall! 🎨🖼️
These messages were intentionally placed where our officers pass by every day, serving as a constant reminder of the incredible community we humbly and proudly serve.
Thank you, Henry County. Your support means more than you know. 💙

Good morning, everyone.
We’ve received a growing number of complaints regarding speeding throughout town. To address these concerns and help keep our community safe, we are providing a clear reminder of the posted speed limits in town. Traffic enforcement will be increasing in the coming days.

In response to the ongoing concerns, we will be increasing traffic enforcement in the coming days and weeks. Our goal is not to issue citations, but to encourage safer driving habits and protect our residents, pedestrians, and visitors
