At this morning's public safety operations meeting, Sheriff Thornton (right) presented Clear Creek Fire Authority Chief Jones with a plaque recognizing Chief Jones's 30+ year career in fire fighting. Chief Jones is retiring from the CCFA next week and we very much appreciate his service to Clear Creek County and our community.

Congratulations and thank you Chief Jones!

Empire’s future depends on supporting the people who live, work, and do business here. At tomorrow night’s Board Work Session Meeting, representatives from the Clear Creek Regional Housing Authority and the Clear Creek County Tourism Bureau will share their current initiatives and plans for our community.

Their work can directly benefit Empire by expanding attainable workforce housing, helping local businesses attract and retain employees, promoting our town to visitors, and encouraging tourism that supports local shops, restaurants, and services.

Local business owners are encouraged to attend, learn what’s ahead, ask questions, and help ensure Empire’s needs and opportunities are part of the conversation.
Please join us tomorrow night at 6:30 at Empire Town Hall. Clear Creek Regional Housing Authority will start presenting at 6:30 and Clear Creek County Tourism Bureau will be presenting at 7:15 PM.
