This summer, we're inviting adults ages 19+ to join our Unearth A Story Adult Summer Reading Bingo Challenge and discover new books, explore new genres, and compete for some dino-mite prizes! 📖🦕

🦖📖 There's still plenty of time to sign up for our 2026 Summer Reading Program: Unearth A Story! This program is open to ALL area youth in grades K-6th. The FINAL day to register is Saturday, June 13, 2026. Join us for a summer of RAWR-SOME fun as we dive into new reads and discover the joy of fossils, dinosaurs, and paleontology! We have plenty of crafts and events planned that'll be fun for all ages. To register, you can register by calling the library at 814-486-8011, picking up a sign-up form at the library, or signing up online! 🦕🌴

🦕📖🦖 Registration for the library's 2026 Summer Reading Program begins TODAY! The program is open to all area children in grades K-6. Both online and in-person registration will be open from May 18th to June 13th.

This year's theme is Unearth A Story! 📚🦕 We'll be encouraging young readers to dig into great summer reads, discover different authors/book genres, and explore Cameron County to learn about it's illustrious history. We'll be exploring paleontology, learning about fossils & dinosaurs, and discovering the joy of reading. Plus, we have a bunch of programs, activities, and crafts for all who participate in the program!

For the first time this year, we'll be offering parents/guardians two options for helping their children track and submit their weekly reading logs. Parents/guardians will be able to submit their students’ reading logs in-person with printed log sheets, or digitally using a Google form. More information about digital tracking will be provided once Summer Reading starts. When registering, either in-person or online, indicate which tracking method you'd prefer to help your children submit their reading logs in on time. 📝💻

Be sure to be on the lookout for future information about our 2026 Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party here at the library on June 19th. We'll be joined by Taylor Gillette from CCOYA who'll be conducting an animal track workshop. This will be followed by pizza and a short story time with library staff. 🐾🍕📖
