The Cider Mill in Endicott, New York has been a landmark at its location since 1926 and became part of the Ciotoli family in 1942. Originally farmers would bring their apples in for pressing during September. Most had wooden oak barrels to put the cider in and that would last through the winter. In the very late 1960s, the retail business grew and doughnuts and candy apples were added. One cold wi

nter night in 1972, the Mill was lost to fire, but rebuilt that same year. The "new" Mill became more popular than ever with both longtime community patrons, and tourists. Custom Pressing for farmers declined into the 1980s and now is not done at all. Taking a ride to The Cider Mill has become a family tradition and thousands of people make the trip every fall. The wonderful aromas and tastes of fall in upstate New York continue to attract thousands each year to the natural goodness of pure cider and all the old-fashioned goods that complement its flavor.
