Your Firefighters from Garfield Township and surrounding area fire departments participated in Liquid Propane Gas Emergency class last night here in Engadine. This class was put on free of charge by Michigan Propane Gas Association. Garfield Township was 1 of only 8 locations across the State of Michigan to host the class this year.

Capt. Hopper and Lt. Dailey are giving back to the community in more ways than just responding to emergencies. Tonight they are assisting Engadine Consolidated Schools by bringing much needed water to the football field.

Last night, the voters of Garfield Township demonstrated their continued support for our Fire & EMS services by approving our millage proposals.

On behalf of the members of the Garfield Township Fire Department, I want to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to vote.

These funds will help us continue providing dependable fire protection and emergency medical services, support our EMTs and Paramedics, and allow us to plan for the replacement of aging equipment as costs continue to rise.

Every member of our department is committed to being a responsible steward of these public funds and to serving our community with professionalism, integrity, and dedication.

Thank you again for your confidence and support. It is an honor to serve as your Fire Chief, and we look forward to continuing to protect the residents and visitors of Garfield Township.
